Brianna Hughes, M.A. CCC-SLP, ATACP is a California speech-language pathologist (SLP), augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) specialist, and assistive technology (AT) specialist. Brianna is currently a full-time AAC Specialist in a public school district, serving a diverse group of students ages 3-22, through Communication Works. Outside the school day, she provides AAC/AT coaching, courses, and digital downloads for families and professionals.
She enjoys everything from personalized 1:1 coaching, to AAC/AT program development in a “capacity-building and universal design” model. Her accomplishments include co-creating the first ever AAC Screening, and presenting at conferences such as ASHA, AACES, and AAC in the Cloud. She is a recipient of the ASHA Distinguished Early Career Professional Certificate for her leadership, and a passionate advocate for the idea that everyone deserves a voice.
