This course is Part 2 of a four-part series on how to conduct the elements of a comprehensive AAC assessment.  Here you will learn about AAC features and the feature matching process used to determine the best technology fit for the unique needs of each AAC user.   This is a pre-recorded, on-demand training.

After purchase of this training, you will open a digital download containing the information needed to access your training video and class materials. All trainings are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Training details:
Upon completion of this class, you will be able to:
• Utilize an AAC assessment and intervention framework (The “AAC Compass Framework”) to guide your AAC assessment from functional communication to feature matching.
• Identify and describe core AAC features available in no tech, light tech, and high tech AAC tools on the market.
• Make connections between communication skills and needs and AAC system features to select systems for trial (the AAC Featuring Matching process).

This class can be taken alone or as the second in the series. It is designed for beginning to intermediate AAC professionals, including speech-language pathologists, behavior professionals with communication expertise, and educators. It is highly recommended that all participants take the first class in the series (Part 1) prior to participating in this class to assure continuity of content.
