About the Event
This 4 part course will show participants how to create resources in a variety of learning tools to support the development of literacy skills for individuals with significant disabilities, including complex communication needs. Resources and tools will be grounded in best practices in emergent literacy instruction. We will specifically discuss the difference between decodable texts and predictable text and when each is of value. While we will discuss these and other best practices as a part of the learning, for more in depth instruction on emergent literacy this course pairs well with the Aaccessible.org course AAC, Literacy and the SLP. All tools shown will be free or low cost and all participants will get a free 2 month trial of LessonPix.
Attend the series LIVE, or watch recordings with 12 months of access via your AAC Academy account. Follow the registration link for full course details and cost.
